The Great Father, the recently released Mammootty starring family thriller has already earned the blockbuster tag. Now, The Great Father has become the first Mammootty movie, to enter the prestigious 50-Crore club at the box office.
The movie, which is written and directed by newcomer Haneef Adeni, succeeded in entering the 50-Crore club within the first 19 days of its release. The Great Father made a gross collection of 50.7 Crores, from its run at the Kerala, rest of India, and GCC releasing centres.

19 Days Kerala Collections
The Great Father, which hit the theatres on March 30th, Thursday, has made a total gross collection of 28.9 Crores from the Kerala box office alone.
Rest Of India Collections
The Mammootty starrer hit the theatres outside Kerala a day after its release. on March 31st, Friday. The movie has collected 7.83 Crores from the rest of India box office, within the first 18 days of its release.
UAE/GCC Collections
TGF hit the releasing centres all over UAE/GCC, on April 13th, Thursday. The Mammootty movie managed to make a total gross collection of 13.28 Crores from the UAE/GCC box office, within the first 6 days of its release.
The 50-Crore Club
Thus, The Great Father has emerged as the first Mammootty movie to enter the 50-Crore club, by making a total gross collection of 50.07 Crores from the Kerala, rest of India, and UAE/GCC box offices.
Rest Of The World Release
The Haneef Adeni movie is expected to have wide release all over the world, including the USA and Europe, by the end of April.
The Great Father made a record-breaking opening at the Kerala box office, by making a whopping collection of 4.31 Crores on its release day. The Mammootty movie thus emerged as the all-time highest initial collection-grosser of Mollywood.
The movie, which features Mammootty in the role of builder David Ninan, has also emerged as the fastest first-weekend collection grosser of Mollywood, and the fastest Malayalam movie to enter the 20-Crore club. TGF has now also become the second highest grosser of GCC countries.
Popular South Indian actress Sneha has appeared as the female lead opposite Mammootty in the movie. The Great Father is jointly produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Arya, for the banner August Cinema.
