Interestingly, the Mammootty movie has emerged as the fastest Malayalam movie to enter the 20-Crore club. The megastar himself confirmed the news through a recent post on his official Facebook page.

The Great Father emerged as the fastest 20-Crore film of Mollywood, by collecting 20.54 Crores within just 4 days. Thus, the movie broke yet another record of Pulimurugan.
Reportedly, The Great Father has broken has made about 15.19 Crores from the Kerala box office alone, within the first weekend.
Highest Initial Collection Grosser Of Mollywood
The Mammootty starrer made a grand opening by collecting Rs. 4,31,46,345 Crores from the Kerala box office alone, on its release day. The movie thus broke the records set by Rajinikanth's Kabali and Mohanlal's Pulimurugan.
The Biggest Malayalam Release Till Date
The Great Father emerged as the biggest release of the industry till date, by hitting about 202 theatres on its release date. The record was previously held by Pulimurugan, which was released in 160 screens.

The trade experts suggest that The Great Father will emerge as the first Mammootty movie, to enter the prestigious 50-Crore club of Malayalam movie industry. The Haneef Adeni-directed movie is also expected to become the highest grosser in lead actor Mammootty's career.
As per the latest updates, the movie has succeeded in attaining the support of both the family audiences and youth. The trade analysts and makers expect that it will support The Great Father to remain strongly at the box office.
Reportedly, the team is planning to have an overseas release for the family thriller, by the second week of April. The Great Father is jointly produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Arya, for the banner August Cinema.
