The Great Father Box Office: Reaches The 50-Lakh Mark At Kochi Multiplexes!

The Great Father has straight-away set the box office on fire, with the film rewriting some of the existing records at the Kerala box office.
Meanwhile, the film is having a pretty good run at the Kochi multiplexes. According to a report by Forum Keralam, the film has touched the 50-Lakh mark within its 5 days of run.
Reportedly, the present collection of The Great Father at Kochi multiplexes stand at 53.33 Lakhs. This is one of the fastest Mammootty movies to enter the 50-Lakh mark at the Kochi multiplexes.

Day 1 - A Strong Opening
The Great Father had a very promising opening at the Kochi multiplexes, with the film fetching 13.87 Lakhs from the various multiplexes in Kochi. The film also registered one of the best openings for a Mammootty movie at the Kochi multiplexes.

Day 2 - A Decent Friday
The collections of the second day were slightly affected due to the motor vehicle strike in the State. But still, The Great Father managed to fetch 12.23 Lakhs on the second day, which was quite impressive.

Day 3 – Family Crowds Pouring In
Saturday also was a promising one for The Great Father at the Kochi multiplexes with family crowds pouring in huge numbers, especially during the evening shows. On the third day, The Great Father minted 9.5 Lakhs from 30 shows at the Kochi multiplexes.

Day 4 – Impressive Sunday
The fourth day, which was a Sunday, was really an impressive one for The Great Father, with the movie fetching 10.5 Lakhs. The occupancy rate for the film was close to 97 %, which again, is outstanding for a film on its fourth day.

Day 5 – Holding Well On Monday
The Monday after the first weekend is the biggest test for any movie. The Great Father has managed to do a decent business at the Kochi multiplexes on Day 5, with the film fetching 7.3 Lakhs with an occupancy rate of 70 %.

Going at this rate, the film is expected to touch 1-Crore mark at the Kochi multiplexes soon. Earlier, Mammootty's Bhaskar The Rascal also made it to the 1-Crore club at the Kochi multiplexes.
But none of the Mammootty movies have made it to the 2-Crore club at the Kochi multiplexes. We have to wait and see whether The Great Father will make it to that elite club or not.
Meanwhile, The Great Father has made it to the 20-Crore club and Mammootty himself officially announced the same through his Facebook page.
