REVEALED: This's Why Vidya Balan Backed Off From Kamal's Aami!

As we all know, Vidya Balan, the National award-winner was the initial choice for the role of Kamala Surayya, in the upcoming project Aami. But Vidya backed off from the Kamal-directed project at the last minute, and was replaced by Manju Warrier.

The actress's decision was a huge shock for the both the team members and her fans. However, Vidya Balan finally revealed why she backed off from Aami at the last minute, in a recent interview given to a popular media.

According to Vidya, she was extremely keen to play Kamala Surayya in Aami, and immediately agreed to the project when she was approached. But things took a different turn after the writer-directed finished the script.

The movie and her character were not developed in an expected way, to the much disappointment of Vidya Balan. The actress had several creative disagreements with the team, and that is the only reason behind the sudden decision.

Vidya Balan, who insisted that she is always ready to work in a Malayalam cinema, also added that she would love to share screen space with Mohanlal, some day. But, the actress has absolutely no regrets about turning down Aami.
