Vidya
Balan,
the
Bollywood
actress
backed
out
from
director
Kamal's
ambitious
project
Aami,
the
Kamal
Surayya
biopic,
at
the
last
minute.
In
the
recent
interview
given
to
Manorama
online,
Kamal
finally
opened
up
about
Vidya's
exit.
The
senior
director,
who
is
extremely
disappointed
with
the
actress
slammed
her
stating
that
her
action
is
totally
'unprofessional
and
unethical'.
According
to
Kamal,
Vidya
Balan
quit
the
project
just
a
few
days
before
the
shooting.
He
remarks
that
Vidya
was
extremely
impressed
with
the
screenplay,
and
ever
started
learning
Malayalam
for
her
character.
Kamal
also
revealed
that
the
actress
never
expressed
her
disagreement
with
the
script,
if
there
was
any.
The
director
alleges
that
Vidya
didn't
even
reveal
the
reason
behind
her
decision,
and
just
informed
that
she
is
facing
difficulties
to
become
the
character.
However,
the
director
is
confident
that
Vidya's
withdrawal
will
not
affect
Aami.
Kamal
believes
that
his
comment
about
the
National
Anthem
is
not
the
reason
behind
Vidya's
exit
from
the
project.
But,
he
feels
that
the
actress
was
uncomfortable
with
the
fact
that
Aami
discusses
Kamala
Surayya's
religious
conversion.
As
per
the
sources
close
to
the
project,
the
team
is
actively
searching
for
a
suitable
face
to
portray
Kamala
Surayya
in
the
movie.
Kamal
is
determined
that
he
will
proceed
with
the
works
of
Aami,
after
finding
a
replacement
for
Vidya.
