Vishal Bhardwaj, the multifaceted talent of Bollywood is making a comeback to Mollywood, after a long gap of almost 2 decades. Reportedly, Vishal has joined the upcoming Fahadh Faasil-Venu project, which has been titled as Carbon.
As per the latest updates, the veteran director-music composer has been roped in to compose the songs and background score for Carbon. It is the second Malayalam outing of Vishal Bhardwaj, who entered the industry with the 1998-movie Daya.
Daya, which marked the directorial debut of cinematographer Venu, also had Vishal Bhardwaj on board as the music composer. The songs of the movie had earned wide appreciation from both the audiences and critics.
Carbon, which is said to be a raw suspense thriller movie, will have Fahadh Faasil in the role of Sibi, a rough youth. Mamtha Mohandas essays the female lead opposite Fahadh Faasil in the movie, which will be majorly shot in forest areas.
If the reports are to be believed, the team is planning to shoot Carbon entirely using the sync sound technology. The popular Bollywood cinematographer KU Mohanan has been roped in as the DOP of the project.
Munnariyippu, the last directorial venture of Venu which has Mammootty in the lead role, was a highly acclaimed project. The director is expected to reveal more details about the cast and crew of Carbon, very soon.
