Who will replace Prithviraj, Jyothika, Prakash Raj, Swarnamalya, and the rest of the cast, if Tamil blockbuster Mozhi is remade in Malayalam..???
Mozhi is the musical romantic comedy, which had Mollywood's young talent Prithviraj and Jyothika in the lead roles. The movie is written and directed by Radha Mohan, had Prakash Raj and Swarnamalya in the other key roles.
Prakash Raj himself produced Mozhi, under his home banner Duet Movies. MS Bhaskar, Brahmanandam, Vatsala Rajagopal, Sriranjini, Neelima Rani, Geeta Ravishankar, etc., appeared in the supporting roles in the movie.
Let us see who would fit into the characters of Mozhi, if it is made in Malayalam now....
Prithviraj as Karthik
Prithviraj himself can essay the role of Karthik if Mozhi is ever remade in Malayalam. No other actor can do justice to the role of the dedicated musician, who falls head over heels in love with a deaf-mute girl. It is undoubtedly one of the best characters in Prithvi's career.
Nithya Menen as Archana
In a recent chat show, Jyothika, who essayed the role of Archana in Mozhi, had suggested that Nithya will be the perfect choice for the role if the movie is remade now. Well, even we feel that the character of the deaf-mute girl who leads an independent life is tailor-made for Nithya.
Biju Menon as Vijaya Kumar aka Viji
There is no better choice for the role of Vijayakumar aka Viji, the happy-go-lucky friend of Karthik, other than Biju Menon. The actor can surely play the role to near perfection.
Mia George as Sheela
The character of Sheela, Archana's best friend who helps Karthik to win her love, will be safe in the hands of Mia George. The actress can definitely play the role to near perfectly.
Mukesh as Secretary Ananthakrishnan
Secretary Ananthakrishnan is a role which provides a lot of scope for humour. Mukesh is the only actor from the current slot who can do complete justice to the character.
Nedumudi Venu as Professor
The character of Professor is one of the most appreciated roles in Mozhi. The role demands an actor who can handle both the emotional and humorous sequences with the same ease. We feel that Nedumudi Venu is the best choice for the role, if the movie is remade in Malayalam.
The role of Karthik, played by Prithviraj in the movie was originally offered to several popular Tamil actors. But all of them turned down the offer, as it was a women-centric film which revolves around the role played by Jyothika.
Initially, Jyothika was reluctant to accept the movie, as she was not confident about the character. But, later the actress decided to do the project after reading the complete screenplay.
Similarly, the role of Viji was originally offered to Prasanna, but producer Prakashraj decided to play the role after the actor turned down the offer. The songs of Mozhi, which were composed by Vidyasagar, were instant hits.
