Who All Can Replace Jayaram,Mukesh & Others If Marupuram Is Remade Now?
Marupuram, the Malayalam movie released in the year 1990 did feature Jayaram and Mukesh in the lead roles. The movie, directed by Viji Thampy was in the lines of a thriller.
The film, despite being a good one hasn't received the credits that it deserved. In fact, the film has even earned the tag of one of the most underrated thrillers of the early 1990's.
Marupuram narrated the tale of two youngsters named Sethu and Roy, portrayed by Jayaram and Mukesh respectively. Under certain circumstances Sethu opts for a job as an estate manager where some troubles are awaiting him.
Not many know that the film had its script written by Ranjith along with Kaloor Dennis. The first half of the movie was filled with comedy elements while the second half thrills you. Apart from Jayaram and Mukesh, the film also featured Sukumaran, Urvashi, ashokan, Lalu Alex, Jagathy Sreekumar in the lead roles.

Neeraj Madhav As Roy
Roy, portrayed by Mukesh in the original version is a character with both humorous and serious side. Coming to the newer version, we feel that Neeraj Madhav will be an apt choice for this role and the Oru Mexican Aparatha combo would look perfect together.
Siddique As Ossac Thomas
The character of Issac Thomas, who is an investigation officer, plays an important role in the movie. Sukumaran had made this role a memorable one with his unique way of presentation. At present, Siddique is one such actor who can do complete justice to the role, if the film is remade.
Rajisha Vijayan As Ratna
Ratna is the owner of the lodge in which Sethu and Roy stay. At the same time, she is also the love interest of Sethu. Actress Urvashi had played this role in the original and at present, Rajisha Vijayan will be the apt choice for this role, if the film is remade.
Suraj Venjaramoodu As Chakkunni
How can we forget this character, which was taken to another level by the enigmatic performance of Jagathy Sreekumar? If the film is remade, Suraj Venjaramoodu will be the apt choice for this role.
