It is a proud time for the Malayalam film industry as it has been officially confirmed that the popular novel Randamoozham, written by M T Vasudevan Nair will be having a cinematic version soon, with Mohanlal in the lead role.
Ever since the project was announced, there has been a lot of speculations regarding the actors who will play important roles in the movies. Now, the big question is whether Mammootty, the Megastar of Mollywood, will be playing a part in the movie or not.
Mahabharata - Randamoozham The Movie will be a global project and it would be great if Mammootty too, appear in an important role in the movie. In a recent interview given to Radio Mango, V A Shrikumar Menon, the director of the film opened up about the chances of Mammootty acting in the movie.
'It Is A Dream To Work With Mammootty'
The director stated that it is always a dream of a film-maker to work with someone like Mammootty. But the director opened up that he hasn't approached Mammootty or met him regarding the project. He also stated that there are many characters in Randamoozham which can be done by an actor like Mammootty. But as of now, the makers haven't considered Mammootty as any of the character but as the casting progresses, it wouldn't be a surprise if Mammootty comes on board for the project.
Will Date Issues Play Spoilsport?
In the interview, director V A Shrikumar Menon also made it clear that he wanted actors, who can allot 2 years of time for the movie. Mammootty has some big projects in the offing and we are afraid whether the date issues will play spoilsport in Mammootty's association of the project.
Hrithik Roshan Or Mahesh Babu?
When quizzed about on who would do the role of Krishnan in the film, the film-maker opened up that his choices for the role are Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan.
Mammootty As Karnan?
If ever Mammootty becomes a part of the project, we would definitely like to see him in the role of Karnan. He would be simply stunning in this particular role and it is one such role, which would definitely explore the actor in him.
What Will Be The Fate Of Madhupal's Karnan With Mammootty?
Earlier it was said that actor Madhupal would direct a movie, which will see Mammootty in the role of Karnan. The film will have its script written by P Sreekumar. With The Mahabharata having confirmed, we have to wait and see what the fate of this upcoming project will be.
