Kayamkulam Kochunni has turned out to be a money-spinner at the box office with the film achieving some of the big records. The Nivin Pauly starrer, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, also has the big presence of Mollywood's own Mohanlal in an extended cameo role, which is one of the major highlights of the movie. Mohanlal has portrayed the role of Ithikkara Pakki in this movie and his performance is being praised by one and all. The actor has created yet another big impact, which will be ranked among the best special appearances ever. Meanwhile, the audiences have been eager to know whether a full-length movie based on Ithikkara Pakki will be coming out or not.
A Movie About Ithikkara Pakki
Film-maker Rosshan Andrrews himself opened up about the same in a recent interview given to the channel News18 Keralam. The film-maker added that a movie based on Ithikkara Pakki will happen for sure and the initial discussions are already on the way.
The Idea
Rosshan Andrrews, during the interview, opened up that it was Mammootty who had talked about this idea first. He added that Mammootty went on to say to producer Anto Joseph that if Ithikkara Pakki makes a guest appearance, then there are chances for a film to come out based on that character. Later, Anto Joseph conveyed this to Rosshan Andrrews. The film-maker added that it was then that he found this to be a good idea.
A Big Project Worth Waiting For
Ithikkara Pakki was there for barely 20 minutes in Kayamkulam Kochunni and still, we felt the big impact that Mohanlal and the character had created. If a full-length movie is in the offing, it would be yet another big-budget project worth waiting for.
Rosshan Andrrews' Other Projects
Meanwhile, Rosshan Andrrews will be teaming up with Nivin Pauly once again for a film titled Pirates Of Diega Garcia, which will be scripted by the director himself. Earlier, a few reports had also surfaced that he will make his Bollywood debut with one of the remakes of his own Malayalam movie.
