Well, it is after a short gap that a Malayalam movie is being shot entirely in the UK. It is also for the first time that a Ranjith film is being shot completely abroad. Earlier, Ranjith's Kadal Kadannoru Maathukkutty had few of its portions set in Germany. Reportedly, more than 90% of Drama has been shot in the UK.
Initially, Ranjith was supposed to do a film titled as Bilathikadha, under the script penned by Sethu. Mohanlal was supposed to do a special role in the movie. Later, the team dropped that project and came up with a fresh script with Mohanlal in the lead role.
