Amidst the Kerala floods, which hit the state of Kerala severely, we saw many Mollywood celebrities voluntarily coming out for rescue operations. Popular film-maker Major Ravi, who has served in the Indian army, was one among the first celebrities to have turned up for such a rescue operation.

As you all know, Aluva was one among the regions that was most affected by the floods and many regions got submerged in water. Importantly, Major Ravi, along with the help of a group of fishermen, rescued as many as 200 people within two days from the Elukkara North region, which is a place near Aluva.

Major Ravi himself took to his Facebook page to send out a note regarding the same thanking the fishermen and family who stood by him during the operation. The Facebook post of Major Ravi read as, "With the help of my fisherman brother Sylvester and his family ,we could save around 200 people in two days from Elukkara North, near Alwaye ...salute to Sylvester and family for standing with me during the fight with the angry nature... They deserve our gratitude and respect for the task they undertook. Sincere Thanks to all for praying for us and thanks to the person whosoever, for advising the CM to deploy the fishermen.. Also thanking the ward member Mr.Shyam for supporting and being with us...love u all ...Jai Hind!"
