Malayalam Movies Scheduled As Onam Releases Will Now Hit The Theatres On These Dates?
The Malayalam movies which were schedules to release during Onam will now hit the theatres on later dates. Read on to know more about the same.
It is already known that all the big Malayalam movies which were originally scheduled as Onam releases have been postponed. 5 Malayalam movies, which also included some of the much-awaited ventures of the year, were initially confirmed as the Onam releases and upon the massive Kerala floods, which wreaked havoc in many parts of the state, all the big movies were postponed.
At the same time, nothing much was officially announced regarding the new release dates of these much-awaited movies. Earlier, reports had suggested that meetings were held in connection with the same. Now, according to a recent report by Manorama Online, the new release dates of the Malayalam movies, formerly chartered as Onam releases, are out but no official confirmation regarding the same has been given.
Theevandi
According to the report, Tovino Thomas starrer Theevandi will be the first among the rescheduled Onam releases to hit the theatres. Reportedly, the film, directed by Fellini TP, will now hit the theatres on September 7, 2018.
Oru Kuttanadan Blog
Mammootty starrer Oru Kuttanadan Blog, directed by writer Sethu, is one of the most prominent movies scheduled as an Onam release. Now, according to the report, this upcoming film of Mammootty will be hitting the theatres on September 14, 2018.
Padayottam
Initially, Biju Menon's Padayottam was touted to release on August 17, 2018, and was the first among the Onam releases to grace the big screens. Now, the film has reportedly been slated to hit the theatres on September 14, 2018.
Kayamkulam Kochunni
Kayamkulam Kochunni, the big budget venture of Nivin Pauly-Rosshan Andrrews team, is one of the much-awaited Malayalam movies of the year. Now, reports suggest that the film will be hitting the screens in the month of October. If reports are to be believed, the film has been scheduled to hit the theatres on October 11, 2018.
Varathan
Fahadh Faasil starrer Varathan, directed by Amal Neerad, was expected to hit the theatres on August 24, 2018. Now, the film has been pushed ahead by 4 weeks and the film will release on September 20, 2018.
