Chengannur
is
one
of
the
places,
which
has
been
severely
affected
by
the
massive
floods.
Many
houses
were
submerged
in
water
and
it
has
left
many
of
the
residents
of
the
place
in
the
flood
relief
camps.
Mollywood's
own
Mammootty
made
it
a
point
to
visit
one
of
the
flood
relief
camps
in
Chengannur.
The
actor,
who
talked
to
the
inmates
of
the
camp
informed
that
he
was
there
to
impart
the
necessary
moral
and
mental
support
and
self-confidence.
The
actor
was
accompanied
by
other
Mollywood
celebrities
like
Ramesh
Pisharody
and
Vishnu
Unnikrishnan.
Mammootty
mentioned
that
they
have
the
big
support
of
the
people
in
Kerala,
the
government,
various
organizations,
people
from
different
foreign
countries,
etc.,
and
hence
one
shouldn't
get
worried
thinking
that
there
is
no
life
ahead.
He
mentioned
that
it
will
take
some
time
to
get
all
these
things
done
and
hence
he
requested
them
not
to
get
worried
and
be
patient.
He
also
added
that
the
flood
has
affected
4-5
lakh
people
and
above
3
crore
of
the
population
is
unaffected
and
will
be
providing
big
support
to
all
those
who
are
affected.
He
also
reminded
that
not
only
the
Keralites,
but
people
from
the
rest
of
the
parts
of
the
country
and
world
are
with
them.
Before
finishing
his
speech,
he
stated
that
even
though
this
Onam
has
turned
out
to
be
a
grim
affair,
he
added
that
they
can
celebrate
the
next
Onam
on
a
grand
note.
