The riveting film has appealed well to the masses and the result is a phenomenal success at the box office. Varathan had made its big entry to the theatres on September 21, 2018, and is still continuing its run in a good number of centres. At the Kochi multiplexes, the movie was the numero uno till the arrival of Kayamkulam Kochunni, which had graced the big screens on October 11, 2018. Varathan has completed one month of its run at the Kochi multiplexes. Despite the arrival of Kayamkulam Kochunni, Varathan still manages to draw crowds to the multiplexes. Reportedly, Varathan has as many as 4 shows/day at the Kochi multiplexes.
32 Days Collections
According to a recent report by Forum Keralam, Varathan, which has completed 32 days of its run at the Kochi multiplexes, has gone on to fetch as much as 1.43 Crores from the multiplexes alone.
The Top Malayalam Movie Grosser
With this, Varathan has pocketed a big record. By collecting above 1.43 Crores, Varathan has emerged as the top Malayalam movie grosser at the Kochi multiplexes in this year so far.

Overtakes Sudani From Nigeria
Well, Varathan has overtaken the movie Sudani From Nigeria, which had hit the theatres in the month of March 2018. The highly appreciated film had collected as much as 1.43 Crores from the Kochi multiplexes in the final run. Now, it has to be seen whether Varathan will go on to cross the 1.5 Crore mark at the Kochi multiplexes or not.
