Madhura Raja, the Mammootty starrer, which hit the theatres as a Vishu release, entered the 100-crore club as well. The movie made a total collection of Rs 104 crore from its 45-day run at the box office. Madhura Raja emerged as Mammootty's first 100-Crore film and his biggest commercial success till date. It also is a 100-Crore film for director Vysakh and now is set to complete 100 days of run.
The mass entertainer, which is a sequel to the 2010-released Mammootty-Prithviraj movie Pokkiri Raja, is scripted by Udayakrishna. Madhura Raja is produced by Nelson Ipe, under the banner Nelson Ipe Cinemas. As per the latest reports, Mammootty-Vysakh duo is currently planning to kickstart the third installment in the series, which has been titled 'Minister Raja', very soon.
