Mohanlal, the complete actor is undoubtedly one of the finest talents Indian film industry has ever seen. When it comes to his onscreen performances, Mohanlal always stands out with his natural effortlessness and flexibility. The actor, who is all set to complete the 4th decade of his acting career, has amazed the audiences with his exceptional acting skills and brilliant career choices.

Interestingly, Mohanlal was not an actor who believes in going through extreme physical transformations for his roles. But recently, the actor went on to shed about 15 kilos for his role in the recent movie Odiyan. If things fall in place, Mohanlal will appear in a totally different look in his ambitious project Randamoozham, in which he essays the role of Bheeman.

The character Aadu Thoma is majorly responsible for the popularity of Ray-Ban aviators in Kerala.

Mohanlal astonished the audiences with his drastic makeover for Vanaprastham. The actor went for a clean-shaven look, for his role in the movie, Kathakali artist Kunjikkuttan Aashan. Mohanlal bagged his second National Film Award trophy for Best Actor, for his brilliant performance in the movie. The movie also won the Golden Lotus Award for the Best Feature Film at National Film Awards of 1999.

Even though it is a Tamil film, it would be unfair to skip Iruvar while discussing Mohanlal's most different onscreen looks. The actor played Anandan, a character based on former Tamil Nadu chief minister MGR, in the Mani Ratnam movie. Mohanlal appeared in a clean-shaven look in the movie and donned multiple get-ups to essay the various phases of his character's life. The actor also sported the classic MGR hairdo for his role in Iruvar.

And for the portions of the 80-year old man, Mohanlal appeared with a bald head with a grey moustache, beard, and eyebrows.

The actor shed about 15-kilos and sported a clean-shaven look for the younger portions of the character, and went for a thick beard-deadlocks look for the rest.
