Aashiq Abu, the talented filmmaker is joining hands with popular actor Soubin Shahir once again, for his next directorial venture. Interestingly, the actor-director duo who last teamed up for the acclaimed medical thriller Virus, is collaborating for a fantasy movie this time. Recently, Aashiq Abu revealed some interesting details about the movie during a chat session with his Instagram followers.
Interestingly, the talented filmmaker revealed he considers his next film as his best directorial venture so far. Aashiq Abu was replying to the question of a fan, who asked him to choose the best film from his filmography. The director's reply hints that his Soubin Shahir project is something to watch out for.
If the reports are to be believed, the yet to be titled project revolves around a Gandharvan (celestial singer) who lands up in Kerala under certain circumstances. The sources suggest that Soubin Shahir is appearing as the central character Gandharvan in the movie.
The rumoured storyline itself has evoked a great curiosity in the minds of the audiences, as Soubin Shahir seems to quite an unusual choice for the role of a Gandharvan. However, the team has not made an official confirmation on the theme and other details of the highly anticipated project.
Initially, Unni R, the writer of several popular films including Big B, Charlie, Prathi Poovankozhi, and so on was supposed to pen the screenplay of the movie. But the writer backed out from the project due to undisclosed reasons, and Muhsin Parari has now replaced him as the scriptwriter of the movie.
Girish Gangadharan who has cranked the camera for several highly acclaimed films including Jallikattu, is the DOP of the Aashiq-Soubin project which is produced by Rima Kallingal. The rumour mills suggest that the project might get titled as Devanganangal Kayyozhinja Thaarakam, but the makers have not reacted to the rumours yet.
