Aashiq
Abu,
the
talented
filmmaker
is
joining
hands
with
popular
actor
Soubin
Shahir
once
again,
for
his
next
directorial
venture.
Interestingly,
the
actor-director
duo
who
last
teamed
up
for
the
acclaimed
medical
thriller
Virus,
is
collaborating
for
a
fantasy
movie
this
time.
Recently,
Aashiq
Abu
revealed
some
interesting
details
about
the
movie
during
a
chat
session
with
his
Instagram
followers.
Interestingly,
the
talented
filmmaker
revealed
he
considers
his
next
film
as
his
best
directorial
venture
so
far.
Aashiq
Abu
was
replying
to
the
question
of
a
fan,
who
asked
him
to
choose
the
best
film
from
his
filmography.
The
director's
reply
hints
that
his
Soubin
Shahir
project
is
something
to
watch
out
for.
If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
the
yet
to
be
titled
project
revolves
around
a
Gandharvan
(celestial
singer)
who
lands
up
in
Kerala
under
certain
circumstances.
The
sources
suggest
that
Soubin
Shahir
is
appearing
as
the
central
character
Gandharvan
in
the
movie.
The
rumoured
storyline
itself
has
evoked
a
great
curiosity
in
the
minds
of
the
audiences,
as
Soubin
Shahir
seems
to
quite
an
unusual
choice
for
the
role
of
a
Gandharvan.
However,
the
team
has
not
made
an
official
confirmation
on
the
theme
and
other
details
of
the
highly
anticipated
project.
Initially,
Unni
R,
the
writer
of
several
popular
films
including
Big
B,
Charlie,
Prathi
Poovankozhi,
and
so
on
was
supposed
to
pen
the
screenplay
of
the
movie.
But
the
writer
backed
out
from
the
project
due
to
undisclosed
reasons,
and
Muhsin
Parari
has
now
replaced
him
as
the
scriptwriter
of
the
movie.
Girish
Gangadharan
who
has
cranked
the
camera
for
several
highly
acclaimed
films
including
Jallikattu,
is
the
DOP
of
the
Aashiq-Soubin
project
which
is
produced
by
Rima
Kallingal.
The
rumour
mills
suggest
that
the
project
might
get
titled
as
Devanganangal
Kayyozhinja
Thaarakam,
but
the
makers
have
not
reacted
to
the
rumours
yet.
