Anwar
Rasheed,
the
talented
filmmaker
is
finally
all
set
to
make
his
Tamil
debut
soon.
As
per
the
reports,
Anwar
Rasheed
will
soon
kickstart
the
production
of
his
maiden
Tamil
venture,
which
will
be
scripted
by
Anjaam
Pathiraa
director
Midhun
Manuel
Thomas.
The
director
himself
made
the
exciting
announcement
in
a
recent
interview
given
to
a
leading
Malayalam
daily.
In
the
interview,
Anwar
Rasheed
revealed
that
he
was
always
interested
in
being
a
part
of
the
Tamil
film
industry.
According
to
the
director,
no
other
regional
film
industry
produces
films
with
great
entertainment
value,
as
the
Tamil
cinema
does.
So,
when
the
Trance
director
came
across
Midhun
Manuel
Thomas's
script
that
revolves
around
a
Tamil
Nadu
village,
the
filmmaker
decided
to
make
his
Tamil
directorial
debut.
Around
the
same
time,
Anwar
Rasheed
watched
the
Tamil
blockbuster
Kaithi,
and
was
highly
impressed
with
the
performance
of
Arjun
Das.
Later,
everything
slowly
fell
into
place,
and
the
director
finally
decided
to
make
his
Tamil
directorial
debut.
The
title
of
the
film,
the
female
lead,
rest
of
the
star
cast,
and
the
technical
crew
of
the
project
are
yet
to
be
finalised.
The
talented
filmmaker
is
reportedly
planning
to
make
an
official
announcement,
once
things
are
finalised.
Coming
to
his
Malayalam
career,
Anwar
Rasheed's
last
outing
as
a
director
was
the
2020-released
Fahadh
Faasil
starrer,
Trance.
The
director
made
a
comeback
to
filmmaker
after
a
long
gap
of
7
years
with
the
psychological
drama,
that
earned
mixed
reviews
from
both
the
audiences
and
critics.
Trance
emerged
as
a
below-average
grosser
at
the
box
office,
but
has
been
successful
in
grabbing
the
attention
of
the
other
language
audiences.
