Mammootty, the megastar of the Malayalam cinema is joining hands with the renowned cinematographer-director Amal Neerad once again, for the upcoming project Bilal. The shooting of the highly anticipated, which is a sequel to Big B, is expected to begin shortly. The audiences are now eagerly waiting for the announcement on the star cast of the project.
Especially, there have been a lot of speculations about the actor who is playing the role of the grown-up Abu (the young boy who joins Bilal in the end portion of Big B). Earlier, it was rumoured that popular actors Dulquer Salmaan or Fahadh Faasil have been approached to play Abu in the Amal Neerad directorial.
However, the latest reports suggest that it is Sreenath Bhasi, the talented young actor who essays the role of Abu in Bilal. The unconfirmed reports suggest that Abu will be introduced as Abu John Kurissinkal, the new adopted brother of Bilal John Kurissinkal in the project. If the reports are to be believed, Sreenath has already signed the dotted line.
Bilal, which is expected to start rolling soon, features an ensemble star cast including some of the most popular faces of the industry. Mamta Mohandas, Manoj K Jayan, Lena, Vijayaraghavan, Maniyanpilla Raj, Bala, and so on, the actors who played crucial roles in Big B, will reprise their respective roles in the sequel.
The Amal Neerad directorial will also some new additions in its star cast, including the young filmmaker-turned-actor Lal Jr in the pivotal roles. The makers are expected to officially reveal the star cast and other major details of the project, along with an official first look poster very soon.
Unni R, the renowned writer who penned the first part of Big B, has scripted the Bilal as well. Amal Neerad, the director himself handles the cinematography of the movie. Gopi Sundar composes the songs and background score for the project.
