Ayyappanum Koshiyum, the Prithviraj Sukumaran-Biju Menon starrer which hit the theaters in February 2020, is truly a special film in all aspects. The music album of Ayyappanum Koshiyum was totally loved by both the music lovers and Malayalam cinema audiences. Especially, the Kalakkatha song had emerged as the most popular Malayalam song of the year.

The unique number has now crossed 20 Million views on YouTube, thus emerging as the most viewer Malayalam song of 2020, so far. Kalakkatha song has also crossed 399 K Likes so far. The team members of Ayyappanum Koshiyum revealed the exciting update through the official social media pages of the movie recently, with a special post.

Kalakkatha song, which is composed by the renowned musician Jakes Bejoy, is penned and sung by Nanjamma, a folk singer from Attappadi. This special number from the Prithviraj Sukumaran-Biju Menon had garnered the attention of the audiences immediately after its release, and totally elevated the overall mood of the Sachy directorial.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which is a realistic action thriller, features Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the titular character Ayyappan and Koshi. The movie has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2020 so far and entered the prestigious 50 Crore club at the worldwide box office within its lifetime run.

The remake rights of the Sachy directorial has been bagged by some of the most prestigious production banners of the Tamil and Telugu film industries. While the Tamil remake is yet to get its lead actors, the latest reports suggest that popular actor Ravi Teja and Rana Daggubati have been roped in for the Telugu remake.

If the reports are to be true, several popular Bollywood production banners are keen to bag the Hindi remake rights of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. However, the makers have not sold the Hind rights yet. The Prithviraj Sukumaran-Biju Menon starrer is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Amazon Prime.
