fifth
and
supposedly
last
installment
of
the

popular
CBI
Series

revolves
around

celebrated
character
Sethurama
Iyer,

by
Mammootty.
The
megastar
is
all
set
to
play
Iyer,
who
is
a
supremely
intelligent
and
kind
officer
of
the
Central
Bureau
of
Investigation,
in
the
K
Madhu
directorial.
To
the
uninitiated,
CBI
5
is
the
tentative
title
of
the
project,
and
the
makers
are
yet
to
finalise
the
actual
title.
The
Mammootty,
starrer
is
penned
by
the
veteran
scriptwriter
SN
Swamy,
who
penned
all
installments
of
the
CBI
Series.
According
to
the
scriptwriter
SN
Swamy,
it
took
him
almost
3
years
to
complete
the
screenplay
of
CBI
5.
As
reported
earlier,
the
post-production
activities
of
the
K
Madhu
directorial
has
been
proceeding
in
full-swing
amidst
lockdown.
Jakes
Bejoy,
the
talented
musician
who
made
a
mark
with
the
soundtrack
of
the
recent
blockbuster
Ayyappanum
Koshiyum
has
been
roped
in
to
compose
the
music
for
the
Mammootty
starrer.
The
iconic
CBI
theme
music
which
was
originally
composed
by
veteran
musician
Shyam
will
be
retained
in
the
fifth
instalment
as
well.
According
to
the
rumour
mills,
CBI
5
will
be
the
final
part
of
the
CBI
Series,
which
is
one
the
most
popular
movie
franchise
ever
made
in
the
Malayalam
cinema.
Jagathy
Sreekumar
and
Mukesh,
who
played
the
pivotal
roles
in
the
first
4
installments,
might
not
be
a
part
of
the
Mammootty
starrer.
Instead,
the
project
will
feature
a
fresh
star
cast,
which
includes
the
popular
writer-director,
turned
actor
Renji
Panicker.
