Ram,
the
Mohanlal
starring
action
thriller
is
one
of
the
most
anticipated
upcoming
projects
of
the
Malayalam
film
industry.
The
shooting
of
the
movie,
which
marks
Mohanlal's
second
collaboration
with
hitmaker
Jeethu
Joseph,
has
been
discontinued
due
to
the
all
India
lockdown.
But
recently
it
was
reported
that
Ram
has
been
delayed.
Now,
Jeethu
Joseph,
the
director
of
the
project
himself
has
confirmed
the
reports.
In
a
recent
interview
given
to
a
popular
Malayalam
media,
the
filmmaker
revealed
that
the
Mohanlal
starrer
has
been
delayed.
Jeethu
also
confirmed
that
the
release
of
Ram
has
been
pushed
to
2021,
to
the
much
disappointment
of
the
Mohanlal
fans
and
cine-goers.
According
to
the
director,
the
shooting
of
Ram
cannot
be
resumed
even
after
the
all
India
lockdown
ends,
as
the
next
schedules
are
planned
in
foreign
locales
including
London,
Uzbekistan,
and
Turkey.
These
countries
will
not
provide
permission
to
shoot
in
the
near
future,
as
the
coronavirus
crisis
might
not
get
completely
solved
anytime
soon.
If
the
COVID_19
crisis
ends
by
mid-2020,
the
shooting
of
the
Mohanlal
starrer
might
get
resumed
by
the
end
of
November
or
beginning
of
December
2020.
But
nothing
can
be
predicted
right
now
as
the
situation
is
still
totally
out
of
control.
Even
if
the
makers
decided
to
cancel
the
shootings
in
Uzbekistan
and
Turkey,
the
London
schedule
cannot
be
canceled
as
it
is
the
most
crucial
part
of
the
film.
Ram,
which
is
touted
to
be
a
realistic
thriller,
features
Mohanlal
as
the
titular
character.
Trisha
Krishnan,
the
popular
actress
appears
as
the
female
lead
in
the
movie,
which
marks
her
first
onscreen
collaboration
with
the
complete
actor.
The
Mohanlal
starrer
features
an
extensive
star
cast
including
Indrajith
Sukumaran,
Bollywood
actor
Adil
Hussain,
Prachi
Tehlan,
Sai
Kumar,
Siddique,
Kalabhavan
Shahjohn,
Durga
Krishna,
Liyona
Lishoy,
and
so
on.
Ram
is
jointly
produced
by
Abhishek
Films
and
Passion
Studios.
