RUMOUR HAS IT! Prithviraj Sukumaran To Direct Mammootty Soon?
Prithviraj Sukumaran is finally back in Kerala after spending over three months in Jordan. As per the latest reports, Prithviraj is currently busy with getting back to shape and is planning to kickstart his pending projects once the lockdown ends. Now, the recent reports suggest that the actor-filmmaker is planning to direct Mammootty, the megastar very soon.
According to the latest reports published by a leading Malayalam online portal, Prithviraj Sukumaran is planning to start working on his Mammootty starrer, immediately after completing his next directorial venture Empuraan. The reports also suggest that the much-awaited project will mark the young filmmaker's third collaboration with writer Murali Gopy, after Lucifer and Empuraan.
In an interactive session with his fans which was held in late 2019, Prithviraj Sukumaran had hinted that he has a subject for Mammootty in his mind. However, the actor-director revealed that he will approach the megastar only after he completely develops the story into a solid plot. As per the recent updates, Murali Gopy is planning to begin the scripting of the Prithviraj-Mammootty starrer, once he finishes the script of Empuraan.
Prithviraj Sukumaran has also mentioned that Mammootty is the most genuine person he knows when he was asked about his experiences on working with the megastar. To the uninitiated, Prithviraj's father, the late actor Sukumaran was a very close friend of Mammootty. Thus, the actor had spent a lot of time at the megastar's residence during his childhood days, along with his elder brother Indrajith Sukumaran and Mammootty's kids Surumi and actor Dulquer Salmaan.
Well, the Malayalam cinema audiences and industry members are eagerly waiting for an official announcement on the Mammootty project directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The cine-goers are confident that the Lucifer director will definitely do justice to the acting prowess and stardom of the megastar with his project.
