Association.
Basheer
revealed
the
massive
theatre
advance
amount
received
by
the
Mohanlal
starrer
in
a
recent
interaction
with
the
press,
where
he
opened
up
about
the
theatre
reopening
in
Kerala.
In
the
press
meet,
the
producer
stated
that
they
are
hoping
that
Marakkar
Arabikadalinte
Simham
will
hit
the
big
screens
first,
considering
the
massive
theatre
advance
amount
received
by
the
film.
Liberty
Basheer
also
hinted
that
the
Priyadarshan
directorial
might
also
get
a
'hybrid'
release,
where
it
will
be
screened
on
big
screens
and
OTT
platforms,
together.
In
that
case,
the
Mohanlal
starrer
has
the
chance
to
get
released
on
the
renowned
OTT
platform
Amazon
Prime
Video,
immediately
after
its
theatrical
release.
Coming
to
Marakkar
Arabikadalinte
Simham,
Mohanlal
is
appearing
as
the
historical
character
Kunjali
Marakkar
IV
aka
Mohammed
Ali
in
the
film,
which
has
been
jointly
scripted
by
the
director
Priyadarshan
and
Ani
Sasi.
The
historical
drama
revolves
around
the
life
of
Kunjali
Marakkar
IV,
who
served
the
Samoothiri
Kingdom
of
Calicut
as
the
naval
chieftain,
in
the
16th
century.
