The
advance
booking
of
The
Priest
is
now
open,
and
the
mystery
thriller
has
been
receiving
immense
rush
at
the
box
office.
If
things
go
at
the
same
rate,
The
Priest
has
all
the
chances
to
make
a
grand
first
day
collection
at
the
box
office
in
India
and
abroad.
The
movie,
which
was
originally
supposed
to
hit
theatres
on
March
4,
2021,
was
postponed
due
to
the
unavailability
of
second
shows
at
movie
theatres
in
Kerala.
However,
the
Kerala
Government
recently
resumed
the
second
shows
in
theatres
with
new
show
timings.
This
led
to
The
Priest
team
deciding
to
release
the
project
on
March
11,
2021.
But
the
makers
have
not
revealed
the
complete
theatre
list
of
the
Mammootty
starrer
so
far.
The
pre-release
bookings
of
The
Priest
are
open
at
all
major
cities
in
Kerala,
The
Gulf,
and
other
overseas
centres.
The
team
has
assured
that
the
advance
bookings
for
the
rest
of
Kerala
will
open
by
Wednesday,
March
10.
The
grand
release
of
The
Priest
is
expected
to
pave
the
way
for
the
theatrical
release
of
more
Malayalam
films
in
times
of
COVID-19.
Following
the
release
of
the
Mammootty
starrer,
around
12
much-awaited
projects
from
the
Malayalam
film
industry
are
gearing
up
for
release
in
theatres.
The
list
includes
some
most
anticipated
projects
including
Marakkar
Arabikadalinte
Simham,
One,
Malik,
Kurup,
and
so
on.
The
Priest,
which
features
Mammootty
in
the
first
priest
role
of
his
acting
career,
is
directed
by
newcomer
Jofin
T
Chacko.
Manju
Warrier
appears
as
the
female
lead
in
the
movie,
which
features
Nikhila
Vimal
and
Baby
Monica
in
the
other
pivotal
roles.
Jofin
T
Chacko,
the
director
has
also
penned
the
story
of
the
movie,
which
has
been
scripted
by
Shyam
Menon
and
Deepu
Pradeep.
The
Priest
is
jointly
bankrolled
by
