The most hyped biggest reality show in the Malayalam TV industry, Bigg Boss Malayalam's latest season 5 is all set to kick start on the Asianet channel. Season 5 of the Malayalam Bigg Boss will be hosted by Mohanlal.

According to the available information and the buzz that is doing the rounds on the internet, the brand new season with interesting housemates coming together from the Malayalam TV and film industries will begin at the elaborate sets erected specially for the Bigg Boss Malayalam 5.

The season hosted by Mohanlal will be shot entirely in the set erected in a film studio in Mumbai. The makers of the show want to keep the deets and surprises of the season under wraps and to avoid any leaks, this time too, they chose to shoot away from Kerala. The season will begin going on air on March 26. Alternatively, one can watch the entire episodes of the Malayalam Bigg Boss season 5 on the digital streaming platform Disney plus Hotstar.

The Bigg Boss Malayalam season 4 title was won by Dilsha Prasannan and Muhammed Diligent Blesslee remained the runner-up. The winner took home prize money of Rs 50 Lakh.

There is a strong buzz that the season will include actor Bala, Sreenath Bhasi, and tv actor Shiju Abdul Rasheed as finalist contestants. In addition, there are also several names like actress Gayathri R Suresh, Jishin Mohan, Beena Antony, Omar Lulu, AND Arati Krishna.

The first-ever season of Bigg Boss Malayalam began in 2018. Veteran actor-producer Mohanlal has been hosting the show for the last four seasons as well. The first season was shot at Lonavala Film City and the next two seasons were shot at EVP Film City in Chennai. The fourth and fifth seasons will be shot in Mumbai.
