The veteran actor, who effortlessly gets into the skin of any kind of character that he plays, gave an exciting update about his much-anticipated film 'Bilal', a sequel to Big B, directed by Amal Neerad.

Big B is the story that features Mammootty and his son, actor Dulquer Salmaan in key roles. Unni R wrote the film which is based out of Mumbai and focuses on the gangster Mammunni, a kingmaker. He tries to create panic in society but always struggles to ensure his men's safety and independence within the underworld. The movie features Maoj K Jayan, Bala, and Saifudheen among others in prominent roles.

According to the latest update, we hear that Bilal is again back on track and the team is kicked about beginning the filming. The movie's script was finalized by Amal Neerad and it was finally approved by the actor after several writers worked on it. So far, Amal wasn't satisfied with the output of the script, which caused a delay in production. If everything goes according to plan, the movie's shooting will begin in May 2023.

The team is also involved in pre-production works with locations being finalized for the filming. Buzz has it that the movie unit will shoot in Poland as well. This film marks the third collaboration between the filmmaker and the veteran actor.
