Nelson's directorial Jailer surprisingly became the fastest Tamil film to enter the milestone in just two weeks, with the first being Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1.

Superstar Rajinikanth's movie has already achieved a remarkable feat in Kerala. The Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial became the first-ever Tamil film to gross over Rs 50 Crore. Against an invested budget of about Rs 200 Crore- Rs 240 Crore, Jailer already collected a worldwide earnings of Rs 540 Crore.

Jailer movie stars superstar Rajinikanth, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon, Naga Babu, Kishore, Redin Kingsley, Saravanan, SunilReddy, Aranthangi Nisha, Uday Mahesh, G Marimuthhu, and Mahanadi Shankar, among others in key roles. In addition, the movie features Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, and Shiva Rajkumar in cameos.
