Shiyas Kareem Accuses Complainant Of Concealing Marriage And Child, Claims Consensual Intercourse

Shiyas Kareem's Statement: Actor Shiyas Kareem, who was arrested in connection with a rape case, has made a statement to the police regarding the allegations against him.

According to the reports, he said that he had promised marriage to the complainant and that the sexual intercourse between them was consensual. Shiyas Kareem also revealed that the complainant had not disclosed her prior marriage and the fact that she had a son.

According to Shiyas Kareem's statement, he borrowed five lakh rupees from the woman, and the money was used to purchase the car that she currently owns. He is set to appear in Hosdurg Court.

Chennai Arrest And Legal Battle

Shiyas Kareem's arrest took place at Chennai airport after he was accused of extorting money and sexually harassing a young woman under the pretext of marriage. The Kerala Police had issued a search notice for him. Upon his arrival in Chennai from Dubai, he was apprehended by customs officials and subsequently handed over to the Kerala Police. Shiyas was then brought to Kasaragod Chandera station at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday.

Previously, the High Court had granted interim bail to Shiyas Kareem with certain conditions. In his bail application, he asserted that the woman had engaged in a relationship with him in order to extort large sums of money by making threats. The complaint against Shiyas was filed by a fitness instructor in Ernakulam and a native of Kasaragod Padanna, which was lodged at the Chandera police station in Ernakulam last month.
