South African Music Composer Mark Killian Roped In For A Malyalam Film For THIS Superstar's Fantasy Drama!
The movie is about Barroz, who is a guardian of the treasure and was incharge of protecting Vasco Da Gama's hidden wealth for over 400 years. His purpose is to hand over the wealth to the true descent of Gama.
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who has been reeling under flops back-to-back, is looking to make a huge come back with a remarkable film.
He is next set to make his directorial debut with a period fantasy drama based on the book named Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, in 3D. The movie is also titled Barroz and will feature South African born Hollywood music composer Mark Kilian as the musician for composing score during the post-production phase.
Mohanlal is making his debut as a director through the movie bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner Aashirvaad Cinemas. The movie is written by Jijo Punnoose.
The film's screenplay was written by Jijo Punnoose. Legendary cinematographer Santosh Sivan is weilding the camera. The movie's score will be composed by Lydian Nadhaswaram. A sreekar Prasad will work as the film's editor.

The filming of Barroz took place in areas in and around Kochi, Goa, Chennai, and Bangkok. As the film was made in a 3D format, the post-production and visual effects works are taking a bit longer to complete. Initially, Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure was slated to hit the screens in early 2023, all over the world. Owing to the scale, popularity, and demand, the movie's dubbed versions might release in major south-Indian languages.
