The Kerala Story actress said to watch the movie and comment on the ban. On May 8, the West Bengal government banned the film 'The Kerala Story', saying that any incident related to communal hatred and violence should be prevented. The Tamil Nadu Theater and Multiplex Owners Association has banned the film from screening in Tamil Nadu as a precautionary measure.
The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the West Bengal government seeking the reason for the ban on the film 'The Kerala Story' in the state of West Bengal. Moreover, the Supreme Court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to mention all the measures taken to provide security in the theaters where the film is being screened.
Speaking about this, actress Adah Sharma said, "Freedom of expression should be celebrated. First watch the movie and then everyone has the choice to decide whether they want to comment positively or negatively."
The Kerala Story Speaks About Terrorism?
She continued, "We live in a democratic country. It is humanitarianism and terrorism. It is about being cheated in love. It's about why you shouldn't rape someone. So I think it's great that anyone from anywhere in the world is supporting this film.
Terrorism is a global problem. Because our film also has testimonies from parents and victims, there are no people who watch the film and say these things didn't happen. So those who say there is no terrorism can watch our film. We can change their minds," she said.
