Kamal Haasan Calls It A Propaganda Film

Kamal Haasan recently responded to a question from reporters about the film. He said, "I am against propaganda films. It is not enough to simply write 'This is a true story' next to the logo. There must be truth in it. What was shown in The Kerala Story was not true."

Sudipto Sen, the director of 'The Kerala Story', has replied to Kamal Haasan's criticism. In an interview given to a popular media portal, he said, "I do not respond to all such criticisms. I was saying in the beginning. But today, I stopped doing that.

Hypocrisy and Frivolity

The reason is that those who initially said 'The Kerala Story' was a propaganda film changed their minds after watching the film. People who have not seen the film are criticizing it. They are calling it as a propaganda film without even watching it.

There are a lot of stupid superstitions in our country. Just because the BJP likes a movie doesn't mean it's their movie. People from 37 countries around the world liked this movie. If they want to criticize, they can call me directly and discuss. I have no regrets about it. What other words to say than hypocrisy and frivolity? I don't give explanations to critics," said Sudipto Sen.
