The Kerala Story Director Sudipto Sen Hospitalized Due To Sudden Illness

The Kerala Story Director Hospitalized: Sudipto Sen, who directed the controversial film The Kerala Story has been hospitalized due to sudden illness today. It is said to be due to his constant travel across the country to promote the film The Kerala Story.

It has been reported that the promotions of the film have been temporarily suspended in all cities until he recovers. Produced by Vipulsha and directed by Sudipto Sen, the movie 'The Kerala Story' was released in theaters on May 5. Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani and many others have acted in the film.

Strong Opposition

Ever since the release of its teaser, the film has received strong opposition from various quarters. This film, which has a story of Hindu women from Kerala converting to Islam and joining the ISIS terrorist movement, was protested in various parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, this film was released in Tamil Nadu theaters on May 5th. A case was filed in the Madras High Court that the film should not be allowed to be screened in Tamil Nadu. But the court dismissed the case. In this situaton, the film was released in 7 theatres in Chennai, only in multiplex screens operating in shopping malls including Annanagar, Neelankarai, Royapet, Velachery, and a famous theater in Maduravayal.

Court Case Was Dismissed

The teaser of this film has already raised objections from Islamic parties and organizations. As a result, the state intelligence agency suggested to the government to consider banning the film in Tamil Nadu. But the court case was dismissed and the film was screened as planned.

The film was not screened in South Tamil Nadu due to security reasons. The Police DGP Sailendrababu issued circular and asked for precautionary measures including police protection in the theaters where film is released. Accordingly, the theaters where the film was released were given police protection. Due to the strong opposition to the film The Kerala Story across Tamil Nadu, it was decided that the film will not be screened in Tamil Nadu theaters from the 7th.

While there was strong opposition to the film in South India, The Kerala Story was well received in North India. The film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide. In such a situation, the news about director Sudipto Sen's hospitalization has become the talk of the town.
