Malayalam Actors Ban: In a shocking developmenet, the Joint Film Associations of AMMA, FEFKA and producers' associations have banned Sreenath Bhasi and Shane Nigam. FEFCA, which is the association of film workers took the decision to ban the two actors in a joint meeting that was conducted on Tuesday (April 25).
ALL ABOUT SHANE NIGAM BAN
The Film Employees Federation of Kerala, Kerala Film Producers Association and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes banned Shane and Sreenath, stating that they wouod not cooperate with the films featuring the duo.
Producer Ranjith, while addressing a press conference, told the media that the association would never cooperate with the artists who are addicted to drugs. He mentioned that both Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi often 'behave unconsciously'.
WHY SHANE NIGAM GOT BANNED?
Ranjith further stated that Shane and Sreenath were found to be under the influence of drugs on the sets of the film and it cause troubles to the production house and the cast and crew. The duo has been banned for allegedly consuming drugs and causing issues for the produers.
Last week, the federation members claimed that certain actors were creating problems on the set and refused to cooperate with the production house during shoot. They said that a few actors intentionally allocated the same dates to different films, leading to significant losses to the makers, according to a report in Manorama.
WHO IS SHANE NIGAM?
Shane Nigam, who has worked in several Malayalam films, made his debut with Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, which released in 2013. He later featured in movies like Kismath (2016), Parava, Kumbalangi Nights (2019) and Ishq.
Shane Nigam also shared screen space with Amala and Manju Warrier in C/O Saira Banu, which released in 2017. He also appeared in Eeda, which received critical acclaim upon its release.
On the professional front, Nigam was recently seen in Corona Papers, which hit the silver screens on April 6, 2023. Directed by Priyadarshan, the action thriller co-starring Shine Tom Chacko and Jean Lal received mixed reviews from the audience and public.
SHANE NIGAM UPCOMING FILMS
The 27-year-old has an interesting line-up of films in his kitty. Some of his upcoming movies include Bermuda, Qubani, Qalb, Painkili, Parakramam and Aayirathonnam Ravu. It remains to be seen how much his projects get affected after the ban.
