In a recent interview with Asianet News, Gayathri Varsha revealed that Minu had confided in her about troubling incidents of misconduct that took place on film sets.

Gayathri Varsha recounted that Minu had previously shared her distressing experiences related to inappropriate behavior by film industry members. Specifically, Minu had reported an incident during the shooting of the film Da Thadiya, where Maniyanpilla Raju allegedly knocked on her door with ill intentions. Gayathri Varsha highlighted the pervasive fear of losing career opportunities that prevents many individuals from speaking out about such behavior, pointing to an "unwritten rule" within the industry that discourages reporting misconduct.

Gayathri Varsha Calls for Legal Action, Criticizes Lack of Support for Harassment Complaints

In her interview, Gayathri Varsha criticized the inadequate support for individuals who come forward with complaints about harassment. She noted that only a small fraction of people are willing to offer support, emphasizing that complaints must be met with definitive legal action. She stressed that the political affiliations of those accused should not interfere with the pursuit of justice.

Minu Kurian has also recently leveled serious allegations against actors Mukesh and Jayasurya. According to Minu, both actors subjected her to physical abuse, with Jayasurya making inappropriate comments and retaliating by denying her opportunities when she resisted his advances. Minu reported that Jayasurya's behavior escalated to physical abuse on the set of De Ingottu Nokkiye, where he allegedly grabbed her from behind.

Additionally, Minu accused Mukesh of assaulting her during the filming of Calendar and interfering with her membership application to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists as a form of retaliation. She also claimed that Maniyanpilla Raju and Edavela Babu engaged in inappropriate sexual conversations with her. Minu has expressed her intention to file a formal complaint with a government-appointed investigation team and has previously disclosed her experiences to Gayathri Varsha.
