Barroz Release Date: The Mohanlal Starrer Children Fantasy Film Postponed Again? Here's What We Know!

Barroz Release Date: Mohanlal's Barroz is under the limelight again for its release date yet again. After mutiple postponement, the children fantasy drama was all set to be released on October 3rd as announced by the actor-director himself. Now, there are reports that the Mohanlal directorial, which is his first venture as filmmaker, is getting postponed again. Initially the film was supposed to be released on September 3rd.

Barroz Release Date Postponed

Earlier, on August 17, Mohanlal took to his Facebook handle and revealed the official release date of the fantasy drama. He wrote, announcing the arrival date, "Barroz is coming to reveal his secrets on 3rd October 2024. Mark your calendars for a magical adventure! #Barroz3D #Oct3 (sic)"

Now within almost 2 weeks, a Malayali movie tracker page, took to Twitter and announced that the Mohanlal starrer movie is going to be postponed again. It was written, "#Barroz Postponed again from October 3rd!!"

Mohanlal's Barroz Postponement Reason

Barroz is based on the Jijo Punnoose's novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure. It is children fantasy drama that revolves around the character Barroz who has been safeguarding Vasco da Gama's hidden treasure for centuries. Fans will see Mohanlal as Barroz, while the other cast includes Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton, Tuhin Menon, Guru Sonmasundaram, Kallirroi Tziafeta, among others.

The film has earlier faced multiple setbacks starting from COVID-19 pandemic, script revision, and cast changes. It is shot in immersive 3D and features soulful music composition by Lydian Nadhaswaram.

According to the reports, the release of the movie is postponed after the Hema Committee Report came into limelight. In his public appearance at the Kerala Cricket League, the actor revealed that he postponed the film because of the unfavorable environment at the moment.
