'Bro Daddy' Assistant Director Mansoor Rasheed Accused Of Sexual Assault; Woman Alleges Drugging And Abuse

'Bro Daddy' Assistant Director Faces Allegation Of Sexual Assault: In a disturbing development, Mansoor Rasheed, the assistant director of the film "Bro Daddy," faces serious allegations of sexual harassment. The survivor, who has brought the case to light, claims that Mansoor Rasheed was shielded by the CPM leadership in Kollam, with J. Kunji Chandu, a member of the CPM Clappana West local committee, purportedly involved in protecting him.
According to a report by Asianet News, the survivor alleges that Mansoor Rasheed drugged her drink with a sedative, which led to her being sexually assaulted. The survivor has accused the CPM of inaction despite being aware of the allegations. She also claims that after her complaint, Rasheed was initially included in the film "L2: Empuraan" but was later removed from the project.
The situation intensified when Hyderabad police traveled to Kerala to search for Mansoor Rasheed, uncovering evidence, including phone tracking records, that he had been evading authorities. The complainant reported that despite reaching out to senior CPM leadership, including Kerala Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian and CPM State Committee member K. Varadarajan in 2021, she received no action or response from these politicians.
Survivor Faces Defamation and Threats; Evidence and Formal Complaint Filed
In addition to the harassment allegations, the survivor has faced severe defamation in her hometown, allegedly facilitated by local party leaders. She claims that Mansoor Rasheed retaliated against her for reporting him by destroying her family life. Now residing in Hyderabad under constant fear, she has kept her address confidential due to threats of violence. The complainant is concerned for her safety and that of her child, and she is currently living in Telangana without revealing her location.
The complainant also highlighted the difficulties she has faced in finding legal representation for a divorce case in her hometown. She alleges that Mansoor Rasheed drugged her drink and assaulted her at a hotel in Hyderabad, where all the stars and crew members of the film, except for the main actors, were staying. Evidence, including booking records from Make My Trip, supports her claim.
Following her complaint in Hyderabad, the police have collected CCTV footage from the hotel. The survivor plans to file a formal complaint with the Special Investigation Team today. She will submit her complaint via mail to DIG Ajitha Beegam of the Special Investigation Team, including all relevant details from Hyderabad, as reported by Asianet News.
