P. Balachandra Kumar Passes Away: Malayalam Director P. Balachandra Kumar, who played a pivotal role in the investigation of the actress assault case through his significant revelations against actor Dileep, passed away early this morning at 5:40 AM in a private hospital in Chengannur. The 2013 Cowboy director had been undergoing treatment for kidney and heart-related ailments. His mortal remains will be transported to Thiruvananthapuram.

Balachandra Kumar's Revelations: A Turning Point In Actress Assault Case

Balachandra Kumar's disclosures proved crucial in investigating the alleged conspiracy in the high-profile case, which initially involved charges of rape against Dileep. Following his statements, additional allegations, including conspiracy to murder and evidence tampering, were leveled against the actor. He had further alleged that plans were made to harm the investigating officers.

Despite prolonged health challenges, including kidney issues and repeated heart attacks, Balachandra Kumar actively attended court proceedings related to the case. On November 11, he was reportedly admitted to KM Cherian Hospital in Chengannur for heart ailments and underwent bypass surgery two days ago. Unfortunately, complications from an infection led to his demise.

Balachandra Kumar had also claimed that Sunil Kumar, alias Pulsar Suni, the primary accused in the case, handed over a copy of the assault video to actor Dileep. He alleged a close association between Dileep and Suni. The final arguments in the actress assault case are currently underway in court.
