The release marks the culmination of a five-year wait, although the report will be delivered in a redacted format, with 62 pages omitted from the original 295-page document.

Redacted Report To Be Handovered To RTI Applicants

Copies of the report will be distributed to five individuals, including journalists, who have requested access under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. These copies will include only the 233 pages of the report deemed appropriate for disclosure, with sensitive sections that could compromise personal privacy or identify individuals removed in compliance with the State Right to Information Commission's directives.

Sensitive Informations Excluded

The handover of the redacted report is scheduled for 4 PM today. State Information Commissioner A. A. Abdul Hakeem has instructed the RTI Officer of the Culture Department to notify the applicants about the specific content that will be provided and the sections that have been excluded. According to the RTI officer, the omissions include 62 pages, 115 paragraphs, and certain lines scattered throughout the report.

This move to release the report, albeit in a redacted form, follows significant public and media interest in the findings of the Justice Hema Commission, which aimed to address systemic issues and advocate for the welfare of women in the Malayalam film industry.
