Malayalam Actor Meghanathan Passes Away At 60

Meghanathan Passes Away: Renowned Malayalam actor Meghanathan, aged 60, passed away while undergoing treatment for a lung-related illness at a private hospital in Kozhikode at around 2 am. The son of legendary actor Balan K. Nair, Meghanathan carved a niche for himself in the industry with his distinctive performances.

Meghanathan was born as the third child to renowned Malayalam actor Balan K. Nair and Sarada Nair in Trivandrum, Kerala. He grew up with two brothers, Anil and Ajayakumar, and two sisters, Latha and Sujatha. He completed his primary education at Asan Memorial Association in Chennai and later pursued a Diploma in Automobile Engineering from Coimbatore.

Meghanathan's Film Career: Over 60 Movies and Memorable Performances

Throughout his career, Meghanathan appeared in over 60 films, earning acclaim for his roles in movies such as Panchagni, Chenkol, Chamayam, Malappuram Haji Mahanaya Joji, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, Udhyanapalakan, Ullasapoongattu, Oru Maravathoor Kanavu, Chandranudikkunna Dikkil, Crime File, Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum, Uthaman, Vaasthavam, Kohinoor, Action Hero Biju, Sunday Holiday, Aadhi and Kooman. He began his journey in cinema with his debut film Ashthram in 1983, directed by P.N. Menon, marking the start of a memorable career.

The funeral will be held at his residence in Shoranur. Meghanathan is survived by his wife, Susmitha, and his daughter, Parvathi.
