While the day started with the unfortunate news of renowned Malayalam director and screenwriter Harikumar, another celeb from the industry has breathed her last today. We are talking about actress Kanakalatha who passed away at the age of 63.
For the uninitiated, Kanakalatha has acted in over 350 films in Malayalam and Tamil industry. In fact, she is known for her roles in Priyam and Adhyathe Kanmani and featured in movies like Chill, Kariilakatupole, King's Son, Jagurta, Karyatam, My Suryaputrik, Kauravar, Amma Yae Satyam, Prathira Kanmani, Thacholi Varghese Chekavar, Sphatikam, Aniyathiprav, Harikrishnans, Mattupetti Machan, Panchavarnatatta, Akasha Ganga 2, etc
Kanakalatha Death Reason
According to media reports, Kanakalatha breathed her last at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. According to media reports, Kanakalatha hasn't been keeping well for a while and was battling amnesia and Parkinson.
The news of her illness came to light after her sister Vijayamma spoke about it in an interview. She revealed that Kanakalatha had shown the symptoms in August 2021 and her health had been deteriorating ever since. The actress, who got divorced in 2005, has no children.

For the uninitiated, Kanakalatha, who was born in 1960, received her primary education from Girls' High School. While she was interesting in acting, the veteran actress tried her hand in drama. She got her first break in 1980 with Unarth Patt. While the movie didn't see the light of the day, she later made her debut with the 1982 release Chill.
