Suriya Starring Kanguva Movie Editor Nishad Yusuf Passes Away

In a heartbreaking incident, popular Malayalam film editor Nishad Yusuf passed away. The film editor, who rose to fame for his films Thallumala and Unda, died at the age of 43. He also recieved State Award for editing the film Thallumala in the year of 2022. He was found dead in his flat in Panampally at around 2 am on Wednesday. His mortal remains have been brought to the Ernakulam General Hospital.

The film editor has worked on many films like Operation Java, Saudi Vellaka, One, Chaveer, Ramachandra Boss & Co, Udal, Alangam, One Thousand Lies, Adios Amigo, Exit, among others. He had also been the editor of Suriya starring Kanguva, helmed by Siva. His death news came ahead of the release of the film on November 14. On the other hand, he had also been editing the upcoming movie, Bazooka, starring Mohanlal, Mammootty, Tharun Moorthy, among others. Other than that, he also had movie Alappuzha Gymkhana and Suriya starring film, helmed by RJ Balaji, in his kitty.

Nishad's demise is confirmed by The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Directors' Union on their Facebook page. Sharing a picture of Nishad, the union wrote, "The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf, film editor, who played a major role in determining the contemporary future of the changing Malayalam cinema is not something the film world will be able to quickly accept. Condolences from FEFKA Directors' Union."

Nishad Yusuf is survived by his wife, son, and a daughter.
