S*xual Assault Case Against Santhosh Varkey, Ali Jose Perera Among Others: The ongoing controversies in the Malayalam film industry has taken the entire nation by storm. In the aftermath of the Hema Committee report, several women, including female actresses, producers, junior artists among others, have come forward and made some shocking revelations about the horrid s*xual harassments, abuses, and discriminations against them in the Mollywood film industry.

FIR Filed Against Santhosh Varkey, Alin Jose Perera Accused & 3 Others In S*xual Assault Case

According to a report published by Mathrubhumi.com, Malayalam movie critic Santhosh Varkey aka Arattanan, YouTuber Alin Jose Perera, short film director Vineeth among others have been booked under a s*xual assault case. As per the report, an young woman has accused 5 men, including Arattanan, Vineeth, Perera Bright and Abhilash, of tying her up and torturing her after promising her a chance in movies.

Reportedly, the incident had taken place back in April this year and the woman approached the police about it on 13th August 2024. As the report further suggests, the five accused men might get arrested very soon.

The young woman allegedly claimed that Vineeth came to her house in Cheranalloor, Kerala, and tied her hands under the pretense of explaining parts of the movie. The complainant also alleged that the short film director threatened her as well. Following her complaint, the police registered a s*xual harassment case against the accused men.

Earlier today, a case has been registered against Malayalam actor CPI(M) MLA Mukesh, actor Jayasurya, and Edavela Babu based on a complaint by actress Minu Muneer. She has accused them of allegedly abusing her both verbally and physically during their collaborations on film projects.
