Nishad Yusuf, who hailed from Harippad, received the prestigious State Award for Best Editor for his outstanding work on the 2022 film Thallumaala. Nishad's death comes just days before the release of the big-budget film Suriya's Kanguva, for which he served as the editor, scheduled for November 14.
