Nivin Pauly Wasn't In The Hotel; Discrepancies In Complainant’s Statement Prompt Thorough Police Investigation

Police Launch Detailed Investigation Into Allegations Against Actor Nivin Pauly: The police are undertaking a thorough investigation into the allegations made against actor Nivin Pauly, following inconsistencies in the complainant's statement. In the initial complaint, the woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted at a Dubai hotel during November and December 2023. However, according to reports, the police have found discrepancies in her claims, as the information they received indicates that she was in Kerala during those months.

To address these inconsistencies, the authorities will review travel records and gather information from the hotel in question. Reports suggest that the police sources have confirmed that Nivin Pauly has not stayed at the Dubai hotel since 2021. When the initial complaint was lodged, an investigation was conducted, but no evidence supporting the allegations was found.

The case involves six individuals, including Nivin Pauly, who is the sixth accused. The other accused are Shreya, a native of Kottayam; film producer A.K. Sunil from Thrissur; and Binu, Bashir, and Kuttan from Ernakulam. According to the woman's statement, Shreya had initially promised a job as a 'caregiver' in Europe, but when this did not come to fruition, she allegedly claimed to have film industry connections and offered opportunities to the woman. The woman asserts that this led her to Dubai, where she was reportedly assaulted by the other accused in the hotel room.

The complaint is filed under charges of assault and insult to womanhood. Approximately a month ago, the woman also filed a complaint at the Oonnukal police station, alleging defamation through social media by the same group. However, no action was taken on that complaint.

Vineeth Sreenivasan Provides Alibi For Nivin Pauly

In response to the allegations, director and actor Vineeth Sreenivasan publicly defended Nivin Pauly yesterday, asserting that the claims are false. Vineeth stated that Nivin was with him on the day of the alleged incident and claimed that there are photographs as evidence. According to Vineeth, on December 14, 2023, Nivin was on the set of the film "Varshangalkku Shesham" and remained with him until 3 AM on the 15th.

The ongoing investigation follows a complaint of assault submitted to a special investigation team established after the Hema Committee report. Nivin Pauly has maintained that the allegations are entirely unfounded, emphasizing that he has neither seen nor interacted with the complainant.
