Actress Condemns Bail For Filmmaker Omar Lulu: Malayalam filmmaker Omar Lulu, who faced a sexual assault lawsuit, a serious offense by an unnamed actress recently was granted interim bail. The complaint lodged against the filmmaker at Kochi police station stated that Omar Lulu had assaulted the woman multiple times by luring her with an opportunity in films.
The actress who belongs to Kochi filed the complaint at Kochi which was then transferred to the Nedumbassery police station. Now that the Court has granted him bail in the case, the actress is thoroughly disappointed and condemns the Court's decision to give him bail.
Omar Lulu Granted Bail With Restrictions
A bench headed by Justice A Badharudeen granted anticipatory bail to the director and adjourned his plea for a detailed hearing to June 6. The complainant condemned the grant of bail. He was released on a bond of Rs 50,000 with two solvent sureties and ordered him to not intimidate the witnesses or tamper with evidence; leave Kerala without permission.
After the police complaint was lodged and he was taken into custody for the same, filmmaker Omar lulu accepted that he had known the woman and shared a close relationship with her from 2022 until December 2023. His contention was that it was a consensual relationship with her but due to her suspicious nature, they broke their relationship.
However, he denied that the allegations around blackmailing claims to be completely baseless. He attributed the entire act as personal vendetta and attempts of extortion. He asserted that the relationship was consensual and also expressed doubts that there might be a group behind the entire complaint.
Omar Lulu, who debuted with 'Happy Wedding' in 2016 made films like Nalla Samayam, Chunkzz, and Dhamaka. The Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 contestant earned popularity for his film 'Oru Adaar Love.'
