Recently, renowned Malayalam actress Pragya Nagra made it to the headlines after a private video of her (unverified) allegedly got leaked on the internet. While the source of the video is yet-to-be-known, a part of netizens allegedly claim that Pragya herself has gotten her video leaked for fame.

Pragya Nagra, a rising star in the South film industry, has sparked controversy after a private video, featuring Pragya in a compromising position, got leaked on the internet allegedly and went viral in no time.

While the actress continues to spark controversy online over alleged MMS scandal, the authenticity of the alleged leaked clip still remains unclear. Meanwhile, the actress recently broke her silence on the explicit video scandal. Taking to Twitter (X), Pragya revealed that it 'AI generated'.

She wrote in her tweet, "Still in denial, and still hoping that it's just a bad dream that I will wake up from. Technology was meant to help us and not make our lives miserable.
Can just pity the evil minds who misuse it to create such AI content and the people who help spread it! (sic)"

Pragya further continued, "Trying to stay strong through all of this, and grateful to all the people who are there for me in these moments.
I hope and pray that no other woman has to go through such an ordeal, and that all of you stay safe! (sic)"

Who Is Pragya Nagra?

Born on 14th December 1998 into a Punjabi family in Ambala, Haryana, Pragya Nagra is a well-known name in the Malayalam film industry. She made her acting debut in the 2022 Tamil film titled 'Varalaru Mukkiyam' wherein she played a Malayali girl opposite Amar Choudary aka Jiiva. Even though the film failed to impress the audience and critics, Pragya managed to grab everyone's attention with her performance.

In 2023, she also appeared in the socio-political Malaylam film 'Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna.' The 26-year-old made her debut in the Telugu film industry with 'Laggam'. The Telugu family-drama was released in cinemas on 25th October 2024.

Before foraying into acting, Pragya kickstarted her career as a model and featured in over 100 commercials. As per reports, Nagra was previously a member of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and wanted to join the armed forces like her father. Pragya's father had served in the Indian armed forces.

Pragya is quite active on Instagram and has a strong social media presence. On Instagram, she has over 1.1 million followers.
