Revathy Sampath Alleges Misbehaviour & Verbal Harassment By Actor-Producer Siddique At A Young Age: DETAILS
Revathy Sampath Alleges Verbal Sexual Behaviour By Siddique: Actress and model Revathy Sampath is the latest to have come out and allege sexual abuse and misbehaviour by actor-producer Siddique, who is now 61 years old. The actress, who was born in 1992 elaborated on a humiliating incident that took place in 2016.
Back then, Revathy also put up a post on her Facebook account and explained how she was treated during the preview of Siddique's film 'Sukhamariyathe' in Thiruvananthapuram. Revathy alleged that Siddique had made 'verbal sexual offerings' to her. In an exclusive chat with The News Minute, Revathy shared: Every time a woman speaks up fans associations of powerful men become aggressive. Her Facebook wall is full of abusive comments just because she spoke about it.
She said, "The comments are accusing me of trying to become famous by posting such allegations. I don't understand how fame comes into the picture. Another question I have been asked is why I had taken so long to reveal this. It is not easy to open up. Even when I had posted about the harassment I faced from director Rajesh Touchriver earlier, I found it difficult to open up about Siddique."
In 2016, Revathy was modelling and aspiring to be an actress. At the same time, Siddique contacted her regarding an opportunity in a Tamil film featuring his son. After the preview of 'Sukhamariyathe' movie at the Nila theatre, he asked me to come to the Mascot Hotel to discuss it. He straight away asked if I was okay with 'adjustments.' I asked him what he meant and he became explicit in his demands describing his sexual fantasies as liking women with long fingernails.
At the moment he realized it is not working out, he told me to do whatever I wanted and that he didn't care. I can do nothing to him as he was powerful. The comments that I have been getting prove him correct," added Revathy.
Siddique is a popular filmmaker and actor in the Malayalam industry and is known for many of his films including 'Naa Bangaaru Talli' in Telugu. He is also the recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor twice for 'Sasneham Sumitra' and 'Choonda.'
