Arrest Warrant Ready For Actor-Filmmaker Siddique: The Malayalam industry made headlines for its dirty dark secrets recently, which brought to the surface the plight of aspiring and female actresses in the Mollywood film industry. Actor-filmmaker Siddique, who faced several accusations by multiple women is now under the radar. The High Court not only repelled his bail plea but also instructed the police of crime branch to take him into custody. A lookout notice was issued accordingly.

Reportedly, actor Siddique will be arrested as soon as the police find him for the rape of a woman. The head of the Kochi's crime branch issued necessary instructions after the anticipatory bail application was rejected. The search for Siddique intensified.

For the unversed, several complainants have pointed fingers at actor-filmmaker Siddique for misbehaving, exploitation, and sexual abuse in exchange for opportunities in the film industry. Thiruvananthapuram Museum Police had filed a case for rape based on a complaint they received. A woman booked him under the IPC Sections 376 and 506 for raping her in the year 2016. Following the accusations, Siddique was forced to resign from his position as 'AMMA's general secretary.

In the complaint, the victim mentioned that Siddique also had misbehaved and abused many of her friends who shared similar experiences. In her statement, the victim elaborated on how Siddique got in touch with her through social media and was invited to one of his film's previews. She was later called to a hotel for a discussion regarding an opportunity where she was locked up and sexually assaulted. She was later removed from the movie. She first opened up about the issue in 2019.

Siddique, who made his acting debut in 1985 has acted in more than 350 films to date and is also popular across the neighbouring south film industries. His brother Abdul Majeed and son Shaheen Siddique are also actors. His younger son Rasheen died in June this year owing to respiratory illness. After getting a strong hold in the Malayalam industry, Siddique also started producing and directing films.
